Removing Spring Strut Mount

  1. Drill through punch rivets from below using a twist drill Nr.201  .

    Information 

    Drill out the connection point on one side only. Do not damage the plate underneath.

    1. 1.1. Drill out punch rivets at the marked positions -arrows-  only as far as the plate lying underneath.

  2. Drill through punch rivets from below using a twist drill Nr.201  .

  3. Heat bonding areas. Hot-air blower WE 1119

  4. Remove spring strut mount.
  5. One part of the spring strut mount serves as a template for positioning the rivet holes in the new part.
    1. 5.1. Make a cut on the spring strut mount as shown.
    2. 5.2. Cut off section of spring strut mount measuring -X-  . → Length: 20 mm 
    3. 5.3. Position section of spring strut mount on the new part and drill rivet holes.
