Removing Cover For Front Backrest

Mask the backrest shell -1- in the marked area with adhesive tape -2- (2-3 layers).

Disconnect plug connection for height adjuster.
1. 2.1. Disconnect plug connection -1- .
2. 2.2. Unclip line -arrows- .

Unclip height adjustment switch -2- (-arrow- ) and remove it.

Unclip trims -1- (-arrows- ).

Detach cover.
1. 5.1. Pull off cover -2- at the Velcro fasteners -1- all the way around -arrows- .
2. 5.2. Disengage reinforcement -3- in the side airbag area from the bracket -4- (-arrow A- ).

Press seat cover -1- down over the side cushion -arrows A- and disengage it at the seat shell -arrows B- .

Remove mounting for belt feed-through element.
1. 7.1. Pull off felt adhesive tape -1- .
2. 7.2. Unscrew fastening nut -2- .

Remove seat cover -1- in the belt feed-through element area -arrows- .
To do this, pull the bowden cable out of the seat cover. This must be replaced following removal.

Press seat cover -1- down over the side cushion -arrows A- and disengage it at the seat shell -arrows B- .

Remove padding -1- (-arrow- ).

Remove cover.
1. 11.1. Unclip plastic rivets -1- .
2. 11.2. Remove reinforcement -2- with backrest cover -3- from the seat shell -4- (-arrow- ).
