Preliminary Work

  1. Disconnect the battery. → CONNECTING AND DISCONNECTING BATTERY
  2. Detach cover for front middle backrest from the catch at the side and top. → Removing Cover For Front Middle Backrest With Active Seat Ventilation  .
  3. For seats with an air cushion in the backrest:  Remove air cushion control valve.72 - SEAT FRAMES -- (981) BOXSTER/CAYMAN
  4. For seats with lumbar support:  Remove control valve for lumbar support adjustment.
