Preliminary Work

Information 

The lumbar support and air cushions must be deflated before removing the front seat.

1. First loosen  cover for front middle backrest, then fold it down  . →  REMOVING COVER FOR FRONT MIDDLE BACKREST  . 
2. Loosen cover for backrest. → REMOVING COVER FOR FRONT BACKREST .
   1. 2.1. Slide cover for backrest -1-  off the backrest shell -2-  at the bottom left and right, starting at the middle (-direction of arrow-  ) and disengage it.

   2. 2.2. Loosen front cover piping -1-  at the sides and carefully press it out of the backrest frame -2-  using a plastic wedge -3-  .

      Information 

      If the air cushion for backrest is to be replaced on the side airbag side, the side airbag must be removed. → REMOVING FRONT SIDE AIRBAG .
