Installing TPM Control Unit

Information 

Before installing the control unit for Tire Pressure Monitoring (TPM), visually check the control unit and plug connection with regard to the following points:

• Damage to the housing  .
• Damage to the contacts on the control unit  .
• Damage to the connector and contacts on the vehicle wire harness  .
• Dirty contacts  .

If the control unit is damaged, replace it.

If the wire harness, connector or contacts are damaged, repair them in accordance with the relevant safety instructions using the press-out tool set Nr.155 Pos.1  .

If the contacts are dirty, clean them.

1. Install control unit for Tire Pressure Monitoring.

   1. 1.1. Move control unit for Tire Pressure Monitoring (TPM) into installation position.
   2. 1.2. Tighten fastening screws -1-  .

      → Tightening torque: 2.5 Nm (2 ftlb.) 

2. Connect plug connection -arrow-  until the connector engages securely.
