Installing Clutch Master Cylinder

CAUTION: Increased risk of accidents when working with brake fluid.
  • Possible danger of damage or injury.
  • Brake fluid on electrical contacts (even thinned brake fluid) leads to corrosion and may cause faults in the system.

→ Wear protective goggles and gloves.

→ IMMEDIATELY remove any escaped brake fluid. CAREFULLY rinse again with water and dry if necessary. Look out for fuse carrier!

  1. Position the clutch master cylinder -arrow A-  and lock it by turning it clockwise -arrow B-  .

  2. Pull off stopper.
  3. Connect supply and pressure line.
    1. 3.1. Connect the pressure line until it engages securely.

    2. 3.2. Connect the supply line -2-  until it engages securely -arrow B-  .
  4. Plug in electric plug connection -arrow-  until the connector engages securely.

  5. Press in retaining clip for push rod -1-  in the clutch pedal -2-  (-arrow-  ) until it clicks into place.

  6. Release clutch power spring assembly.
    1. 6.1. Press the clutch pedal -1-  slightly -arrow A-  until the cotter pin -3-  can be pulled out of the clutch power spring axle -2-  (-arrow-  ).

    2. 6.2. Press rubber sleeve into the plenum panel -arrow-  .
