Removing Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK)

- Loosen cable duct -1-
for battery positive cable (B+ line) on the Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK).
- 1.1. Unscrew external Torx screws (M6 x 16) -2- . Lay cable duct aside.
- Disconnect cable plug -2- for pulse sender -1- .
- Unclip control valve -2- and disconnect vacuum line -3- .
- Clamp coolant hoses.
- 4.1. Clamp off coolant hoses using hose clamping pliers Nr.192 -1- .
- Pull off coolant hoses.
- 5.1. Open spring band clamps -2- and pull off coolant hoses -1- .
- Secure PDK transmission -2-
using restraining straps -1-

- 6.1. Get workshop crane ready.
- 6.2. Fit restraining straps as shown in the illustration.
NOTE: Mechanical overload of components
- Component will be damaged irreparably
→ Observe guidelines for assembly and disassembly
Information
- The splines of the transmission shaft must be removed completely from the flywheel before tipping off the transmission.
- If this is not done, the diaphragm spring on the flywheel will be damaged and the flywheel must be replaced.

Replace flange screws if necessary.
- Remove Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK).
- 7.1. First unscrew screws -1 and 2- , then screws -3 to 6- .
- 7.2. Pull PDK transmission away from the engine until the transmission shaft is separated completely from the flywheel splines.
- 7.3. Raise the transmission using the workshop crane and set it down on a wooden pallet.
- 7.4. Replace screws if necessary (thread damage, corrosion)!
