Mounting Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK)

Information
- Check the diaphragm spring on the flywheel for mechanical damage before installing it.
- A damaged flywheel must not be installed!
- Check diaphragm spring -1-
on the flywheel for damage.
There must be no dents or mechanical damage!
- 1.1. The flywheel must be replaced if the diaphragm spring is damaged -arrow-

NOTE: Mechanical overload of components
- Component will be damaged irreparably
→ Observe guidelines for assembly and disassembly
Information
Replace flange screws if necessary.

- Fit the Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) using a workshop crane.
- 2.1. First, position and fit screws -3 to 6- . Then fit screws -1 and 2- .
- 2.2. Tighten screws -1, 3, 4, 5, 6-
.
Tightening torque 85 Nm (63 ftlb.)
- Tighten screw -2-
following installation in the vehicle using a Torx socket-wrench insert.
Use Torx socket-wrench insert E18 (VAG 1332/10).
- Torx socket-wrench insert E18 - VAG 1332/10
- Torque wrench Nr.90 Pos.4
- Remove restraining straps.
- Connect coolant hoses -1-
.
- 5.1. Close spring band clamps -2- and remove hose clamping pliers.
- Clip in control valve -2- and connect vacuum line -3- .
- Connect cable plug for pulse sender.
- Fit cable duct -1-
for B+ line.
- 8.1. Route and secure cable duct on the transmission. Fit and tighten three external Torx screws (M6 x 16) -2-

Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)
