Removing Steering Column Casing

- Adjust steering wheel to lower position.
- Unclip upper part of casing.
Unclipping upper part
- 2.1 Turn steering wheel in such a way that the openings on the front are accessible.
- 2.2 Unclip upper part of casing -1- through the openings on the front -2- using a suitable screwdriver.
- Fold upper part of steering column casing -1-
up and unclip the clips on the dust boot -2-
.
Unclipping dust boot
- Remove upper part of steering column casing -1- .
- Release lower part of casing.
Screws on lower part
- 5.1 Unscrew fastening screws -3- on lower part of casing -1- . (For electric steering-wheel adjustment only) .
- 5.2 Turn the steering wheel in such a way that the fastening screws -2- on the front are accessible.
- 5.3 Unscrew fastening screws -2- on lower part of casing -1- .
- Release and pull off plug connection. (For electric steering-wheel adjustment only) .
- Remove lower part of steering column casing -1- .
