Removing Roof Assembly (Panoramic Roof)

→ Remove the ignition key and switch off load before disconnecting or removing load.

→ Fold rear seat assembly over and tilt the front-seat backrests back.

Information 

• Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. 
• Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well. 

1. Pull front and rear water drain hoses off the connection pieces.

2. Release and disconnect plug connection for front wiring harness.

3. Bend tab on the head airbag holder down.

4. Loosen the roof assembly. (Get another person to hold the roof assembly to prevent it from falling down)
   1. 4.1. Unscrew fastening screws -1-  on the side brackets -2-  .

   2. 4.2. Unscrew and remove fastening nuts -1-  on the grab handle brackets -2-  .

   3. 4.3. Unscrew fastening screws (22 ea.) -3-  for the roof assembly, working from back to front.

   4. 4.4. Lower the roof assembly with the help of another person and pull it out of the passenger compartment through the rear lid opening.
