Installing Sliding-Roof Panel

Information 

• Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. 
• Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well. 
• These must be carried out as a mirror image of the steps shown for the front and rear. 

1. Position the panel and guide the clips into the drive mechanism.
2. Install sliding-roof panel.

   Use new screws during installation: → SET

   1. 2.1. Screw in front and rear fastening screws -3-  and adjust gap dimensions.

      When positioning the panel, check that there is an equal gap between the panel and roof cut-out. Align the panel in the longitudinal and transverse direction if necessary.

   2. 2.2. Tighten all fastening screws -2, 3-  to → Tightening Torque: 4.5 Nm (3 ft. lb.)  .
3. Install the bellows.

   1. 3.1. Clip the bellows into the upper rear catch -1-  (-A-  ).
   2. 3.2. Clip in the bellows on the panel -B-  .
   3. 3.3. Clip the bellows onto the lower edge -C-  .
