Removing Potentiometer

Release and disconnect plug connection for convertible top -1- .

Unclip wire harness from bracket -2- for the water drip pan.
Unclip wire harness from brackets -1 and 2- on the convertible top support -3- .

Unscrew fastening screws -2- on the potentiometer -1- .

Pull potentiometer -1- together with retainer plate for wire harness off the convertible top support -A- .
Information

When cutting the front wire harness, make sure there is enough length of cable left to join to the new lines.
Cut off potentiometer wire harness in area -A- .

1. 6.1. Carefully remove fabric tape from the potentiometer -1- to area -A- on the convertible top wire harness, making sure not to damage any other lines while doing this.
2. 6.2. Expose potentiometer lines.
3. 6.3. Cut off potentiometer lines in area -A- .
