Removing Microswitch For Rear Side Section Flap

Information 

The two microswitches for the upper and lower end position of the rear side section flap are a fixed part of the wire harness for flaps and are not available as spare parts.

To replace these, the wire harness for flaps together with the microswitches must be removed and installed.

  1. Release and pull off electric plug connection -1-  for wire harness for flaps.

  2. Release and pull off electric plug connection -2-  on the flap motor -4-  .
  3. Loosen and remove flap motor.
    1. 3.1. Unscrew fastening screws -3-  .
    2. 3.2. Carefully lever off flap motor -4-  using a suitable tool.
  4. Disconnect wire harness for flaps.

    1. 4.1. Cut tie-wrap -1-  .
    2. 4.2. Unclip wire harness from the brackets -2-  and set it aside.
  5. Press rear side section flap at the left to its lower end position.
  6. Unclip spring clamp -2-  on the upper microswitch -1-  using a suitable tool and pull off the microswitch.

  7. Unclip wire harness from the brackets -3-  .
  8. Press rear side section flap at the left to its upper end position.
  9. Unclip spring clamp -2-  on the lower microswitch -1-  using a suitable tool and pull off the microswitch.

  10. Guide out and remove wire harness -3-  together with the two microswitches.
