Installing Closing Aid

Information
- After replacing the closing aid, the Targa roof control unit must be reset. See SUBSEQUENT WORK for closing aid.
- Slide on connectors -3- and -4- and press them together until they engage securely. Engage connectors on body and lock them -arrow- .
- Engage strut on the closing aid and secure with the hexagon nut -2- . → Tightening torque: 6 Nm (4.5 ftlb.)
- Fit closing aid on roof assembly.
- 3.1. Fold closing aid support upwards -arrow- . Make sure that the support strut -inset- for the closing aid is engaged properly.
- 3.2. Coat fastening screw -1- with medium-strength Loctite 270 and tighten it. → Tightening torque: 9.5 Nm (7.0 ftlb.)
- Adjust the position of the closing aid to the specified ejection height. The position of the closing aid affects the ejection height and the chafing noises at the rear lid. After opening the rear lid, the ejection height should be X = 26.7 +/-10 mm.
