Installing Vibration Damper

Information 

  1. Fit the vibration damper -1-  on the crankshaft flange. Check the position of the dowel pin.
    1. 1.1. Use a short locating pin 9595/1  to disconnect the vibration damper.
  2. Fit six new external Torx screws (E12, M8 x 1 x 25, fine thread) -2-  uniformly in diagonally opposite sequence.

  3. Fit drive belt.

    137819 REMOVING AND INSTALLING DRIVE BELT .

  4. Tighten six external Torx screws according to tightening specifications.
    1. 4.1. Pre-tighten screws uniformly in diagonally opposite sequence.

      → Initial tightening: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.) 

    2. 4.2. Final tightening using special tool electronic torque wrench, 2-100 Nm/1.5-74 ftlb.) 9768  .

      → Torque angle: 90°+/-5° 

  5. Remove locating pin.
