Removing Engine Carrier

Information 

• The engine carrier is removed complete with the engine mount  .

Information 

Specifications for wrench sizes (a/f specifications) for screw heads are described as follows:

• Torx screws: (E..) for external Torx, (T..) for internal Torx  .
• Hexagon-head bolts (internal and external hexagon): Wrench size (a/f)

1. Engine Carrier With Engine Mount
2. Hexagon-Head Bolt, M10 x 40
3. Hexagon-Head Bolt, M10 x 125
4. Hexagon-Head Bolt, M10 x 55
5. Spacer Sleeve
6. Spacer Bolt, M10
7. Threaded Bolt (Body)
8. Hexagon-Head Bolt (M12) With Collar Nut (Engine Mount To Engine Carrier)

1. Unscrew hexagon-head bolts (a/f 16) on the engine bracket.
2. Remove engine carrier with engine mount.
3. Check engine carrier and engine mount for damage (cracks, deformation, vulcanization cracks) and replace them if necessary.
4. If the components are separated, the engine mount must be fitted at a 90° angle to the engine carrier.

   Tightening Torque 120 Nm (89 ft. lbs.) 

5. Clean contact surfaces.
