Preliminary Work

Information 

• The spring strut and wheel bearing housing are removed together  .

1. Place cover in service position.

   Unclip the cover at the left and right, lift it up and engage the yellow support in the luggage compartment lid -1-  .

2. If the wheel bearing, wheel hub or wheel bearing housing is replaced, loosen the lock nut (M22 x 1.5, on the central tension bolt) at the wheel side before raising the vehicle. When loosening the lock nut, get another mechanic to help by operating the brake.
3. Raise the vehicle.

   → 4X00IN LIFTING THE VEHICLE .

4. Remove wheel. → 440519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING WHEEL .
