Removing Headliner

Move driver's and passenger's seat backrest back as far as it will go.
Pull rubber door seal -1- out of the body close to the headliner -arrows- .

Remove sun visor holder.

1. 3.1. Open cover for sun visor holder -arrow- .
2. 3.2. Unscrew fastening screw securing sun visor holder -arrow- .

Unscrew and remove fastening screws close to the roof console -arrows- .

Information

To reduce the unclipping forces and thereby the risk of damage during removal, the removal steps must be carried out at the accessible connection points using a suitable tool.
Unclip fastening parts of the headliner at the rear using the disassembly tool Nr.21 (-arrow-) .

1. 5.1. Check fixing clips on the headliner for deformation and replace them if necessary.

  Make sure that the roof cover does not buckle.
Remove headliner.
1. 6.1. Two people are needed in order to remove the headliner.
  1. 6.1.1. Position of first person: Driver's door
  2. 6.1.2. Position of second person: Passenger's door
2. 6.2. Lower the headliner -1- slightly -arrows A- .
3. 6.3. Remove the headliner -1- through the door aperture and side window aperture -arrows a- .
