Removing A-Pillar Reinforcement

Information 

Only make cuts in the top plate. Make sure not to damage the plate underneath when doing this.

Information 

Mark cut X  in accordance with the new part. Make sure to leave an overlap of approx. 3 cm with respect to the body.

1. Mark and make cut. → Distance: 50 mm

2. Grind down marked welded seams.

   Information 

   Drill out the connection point on one side only. Do not damage the plate underneath.

3. Drill out spotwelds -1;2-  using spotweld drill  .
   1. 3.1. Grind down welded seams -3-  .

4. Drill out spotwelds using spotweld drill  .

5. Heat the marked bonding surfaces.

6. Remove A-pillar reinforcement.
7. Remove remaining pieces.
   1. 7.1. Drill out spotwelds using spotweld drill  .
