Removing Vacuum Pump

Information 

When you loosen the fastening screws, engine oil will run out of the vacuum pump. Place a suitable container underneath to collect the emerging engine oil. The engine-oil level must be checked and topped up following installation.

The vacuum pump is located at the outlet camshaft on the right cylinder head.

The vacuum pump is driven mechanically by the outlet camshaft.

  1. Remove fastening screws -1 - 2-  for the vacuum line.

  2. Disengage vacuum line from the vacuum pump.
  3. Remove external Torx fastening screws -1 - 2 - 3-  for the vacuum pump (not internal Torx screws).

  4. Remove vacuum pump. (Engine oil runs out of the vacuum pump).
