Installing Oil Separator

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2019 Porsche 911, 2018 Porsche 911, 2017 Porsche 911, 2016 Porsche 911, and 2015 Porsche 911. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove adhesive tape or stoppers from the bores.
  2. Replace O-rings and grease with Kluber Syntheso Glep (Porsche part number 000.043.204.68).
  3. Install oil separator.
    1. 3.1. Fit oil separator into the bracket for the oil/water heat exchanger.
    2. 3.2. Fit and tighten two screws. Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.) 
    3. 3.3. Fit engine vent line on the oil separator and check that it is seated securely.
  4. Metric screws (M6 x 25) can also be used as an alternative to the standard self-tapping screws.

    Tightening torque 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.) 

  5. Clip in electric line for starter.
