Installing Locking Cable

Information

During installation, make sure that the selector lever is in position "P" on the selector support and at the rear end position on the transmission.
The parking lock must be fully engaged.

Slide the locking cable -2- through the body guide from underneath.
1. 1.1. Apply sliding compound (e.g. Contifix tire mounting paste) on the rubber sleeve -1- close to the body opening.
2. 1.2. Insert and engage the rubber sleeve -1- in the body guide.

Fit the locking cable on the PDK transmission.
1. 2.1. Check that the gear selector on the selector support is in position "P" and is locked.
2. 2.2. Check that the transmission parking lock is fully engaged.
3. 2.3. Fit and engage the locking cable on the support -2- .
4. 2.4. Press the ball joint of the locking cable -1- onto the parking lock lever.

Secure the locking cable to the centre tunnel.
1. 3.1. Fit and engage the locking cable -2- on the support.
