Removing Rear Wheel Bearing

→ Read specific safety information for the press.
→ Check that the press is working perfectly before use, particularly the safety components.
- Unscrew fastening screws -1- and remove retainer plate -2- for parking brake shoes at the wheel bearing housing -3- .
- Unscrew fastening screws -1 - and remove wheel bearing with wheel hub -2- from the wheel bearing housing -3- .
- Press wheel hub out of the wheel bearing.
- 3.1. Fit special tools as shown in the illustration → Pressing wheel hub out of wheel bearing

- Sleeve T10230/3 from assembly tool T10230
- Pressure piece T10230/8 from assembly tool T10230
- Wheel bearing unit
- Pressure plate VW 402
- Pressure plate VW 401
- 3.2. Press wheel hub out of the wheel bearing.
- 3.1. Fit special tools as shown in the illustration → Pressing wheel hub out of wheel bearing

- Press inner bearing ring off the wheel hub.
- 4.1. Separating device Nr.112-2 must be inserted between the inner bearing ring -1- and wheel hub -2- . Then pre-tension with the spindle.
- 4.2. Fit special tools as shown in the illustration → Pressing inner bearing ring off the wheel hub

- 4.3. Press inner bearing ring off the wheel hub.
