Measuring Height Of Front And Rear Axle
Information
- The vehicle height at front and rear axle cannot be adjusted.
- For the height check, put the vehicle on a level surface or on the measuring platform (ready to drive, with a full tank and tools but without driver or additional weights).
- Compress (push down) vehicle at front and rear axles twice or three times and allow it to spring back freely.
- Measure from road contact surface to measuring point on the body.
- A quick check can be performed by measuring from the lower edge of the wing to the center of the wheel.
- Front-axle height: Measure from road contact surface to measuring point -arrows- on cross member/bulkhead of the body.
- Rear-axle height: Measure from road contact surface to outer rear-axle cross member (outer area close to underbody panelling) -arrows- .
