Checking Clutch Plate For Wear
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
Information
- The clutch lining does not wear linearly over the service life of the clutch.
- Due to the settling behavior of the clutch lining, more wear occurs at the beginning.
- Pad thickness wear will decrease as mileage increases.
Information
Pad thickness measurement must only be done on the flanged side of the rivet head.
- Place a commercially available depth gauge on the clutch lining and measure the distance to the rivet head.
