Installing Clutch Slave Cylinder

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. The clutch slave cylinder is installed in reverse order to removal.

    Information

Assembly instructions for fitting the clutch slave cylinder:

Grease the end of the push rod of the clutch slave cylinder - in the area located in the ball socket when installed - with a thin coat of Kluberalfa HM 83-801 (approx. 2 grams). Part No. 000.043.304.02 (50g tube).

When installing the clutch slave cylinder, it is necessary to overcome the spring force acting on the push rod while fitting a fastening screw.

    • Position the clutch slave cylinder and fix it in installation position by inserting a drift punch (5 x 120 x 10 mm) in the lower fastening bore.
    • Screw in and tighten the upper fastening screw.
    • Remove drift punch.
    • Screw in lower fastening screw. Then tighten the two fastening screws to the specified tightening torque.

    → Tightening torque: 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)
