Read out fault memory

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2005 Porsche 911, 2004 Porsche 911, 2003 Porsche 911, 2002 Porsche 911, and 2001 Porsche 911. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The method of reading out the fault memory is described in the operating instructions for the Porsche System Tester 2. The operating instructions are supplied with each Tester. The Porsche System Tester 2 is connected to the vehicle via a 16-pin diagnosis socket. The diagnosis socket is located inside the vehicle below the instrument panel near to the driver (left-hand drive vehicles) or the passenger (right-hand drive vehicles) -arrow-.
