Removing and installing sealing ring for short flanged shaft: Removal

  1. Remove left rear wheel.
  2. Uncouple left drive shaft on the transmission side.
  3. Place oil collection pan under the transmission.
  4. Unscrew fastening screw for flanged shaft.

  5. Pull out flanged shaft.
  6. Remove sealing ring with special tool VW 681.
