Removing and installing cover for final drive: Installation

Install in reverse order, observing the following points:

Fit sealing ring without twisting and coat it with Vaseline.
Fit lid carefully and tighten screws uniformly in diagonally opposite sequence. Use special tool 9321 to aid assembly.

Always replace the snap ring for the halfshaft flange. To do this, clamp the flange in the vice with protective jaws and press out the snap ring with the new snap ring "A".

Grease the snap ring well and drive in the halfshaft flange using the special tools P254 and 9247/1.
Fill in oil (refer to Changing transmission oil in final drive ).
