Adjusting tailpipe (as of MY '02)

- Unscrew exhaust tailpipe. To do so, unscrew the fastening nut (wrench size 16) until the tail pipe can be moved in the flange area.
- Adjust tail pipe until the upper edge of the tail pipe is horizontal and runs parallel to the rear spoiler.
- The tailpipe must have an even distance to the rear panel. The dimension -A- must be 22 mm.
- Tighten the fastening nuts of the tailpipe clamp to 30 Nm (22 ftlb.).
- Loosen the tightening nut on the underside of the tailpipe.
- Move the tailpipe until the projection from the body -Dimension B- is 7 to 10 mm.
- Tighten tightening nut onto the underside of the tailpipe to 23 Nm (17 ftlb.).
