Installing Cover For Front Backrest

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 9 other vehicles, including the 2013 Porsche 911, 2012 Porsche 911, 2011 Porsche 911, 2010 Porsche 911, and 2009 Porsche 911. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Check fastening clamps -1- on the outside of the backrest shell and replace them if necessary.

Check fastening clamps -1- close to the belt guide and replace them if necessary.

Information

Only when replacing the cover.
Position cover -3- on the front of the padding -2- .
Align Velcro strip -1- on the cover with the Velcro fastener on the padding -2- and secure it -arrow- .

Position cover -1- and padding -2- on the backrest shell -3- and straighten it -arrows- .

Press joint on cover -1- into the backrest shell -2- near the top of the headrest -arrows- .

Press joint on cover -1- into the fastening clamps -2- near the belt strap guide -arrows- .

Press cover -1- into the backrest shell -2- at the sides -arrows- .

Align cover -1- with the side bolsters.

Information

Make sure the Velcro fasteners join cleanly.
Press on Velcro fasteners -2- and -3- (-arrows- ).
Press joint on cover -1- into the backrest shell -2- at the sides using a plastic wedge and secure by tapping gently (with a plastic hammer).

Remove adhesive tape -2- from the backrest shell -1- .
