Subsequent Work For Closing Aid

Information 

  1. Adjust the position of the closing aid to the specified ejection height. The position of the closing aid affects the ejection height and the chafing noises at the rear lid. After opening the rear lid, the ejection height should be X = 26.7 +/-10 mm.

  2. Disconnect power supply for the closing aid. To do this, disconnect the central connector for the Targa roof (30-pin).

    • Turn connector in direction of -arrow A-  and pull it up and off.
    • To disconnect the connector, open the lock -arrow B-  .
  3. Reconnect power supply. Rejoin and position central connector (30-pin).
    • Connect connector and close the lock -B-  .
    • Position connector and screw in securely in direction of arrow -A-  .

  4. Position rear-wall lining and push on in direction of arrow until the pins on the cover clip into place.

  5. If a customer subsequently complains about noise coming from the rear window cover, note the following procedure and carry it out if necessary. → WM 648615 ADJUSTING REAR WINDOW COVER
