Installing Radial Shaft Seal On Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK)

Assembly fixture 9829 must be positioned for installation.

1. Insert screw -5- .
2. Slide on the sleeve -4- and grease it slightly.
3. Slide radial shaft seal over the sleeve -4- .
4. Insert outer guide sleeve -3- .
5. Insert inner guide sleeve -2- .
6. Screw on nut -1- .

  The nut -1- on the assembly fixture 9829 must remain tightened for approx. 1 minute to allow the seal to settle.
Pull in the radial shaft seal using special tool 9829.
Assembly fixture 9829 must now be removed.
1. Counter the screw -5- , a/f 11.
2. Loosen nut -1- and screw it down.
3. Assembly fixture 9829 must be removed.
Check that the radial shaft seal is seated correctly.
The radial shaft seal must be flush with the clutch cover.
