Processing Instructions For Affixing Adhesive Tape

Contact pressure  :

Optimal adhesion of the components is guaranteed after approx. 24 hours. Do not apply excessive pressure on the wheel cover and do not wash the vehicle during this period.

  1. Clean bonding areas.

    1. 1.1. Wipe off bonding areas -A-  with a cloth soaked in isopropanol.
  2. Stick strips of adhesive tape on the cover strip according to the designations -A, B, C, D-  .

    Place the pulling aids -X-  over the edge of the cover strip.

  3. Install cover strip.

    1. 3.1. Position the cover strip -1-  at the contour of the side member and door aperture -2-  (-arrows-  ).
    2. 3.2. Pull protective film off the bonding area of the cover strip, affix the cover strip and press down firmly.
  4. Affix new tire pressure plate to the cover strip on the driver's side.

    1. 4.1. Clean bonding surface on the cover strip to remove any dust and grease.
    2. 4.2. Stick new tire-pressure plate -A-  to the cover strip at the same height as the standard tire-pressure plate.
