Teaching Additional/Telephone Handset

CAUTION: Voltage drop
  • Risk of damage to control unit
  • Fault entries in the control unit
  • Coding in the control unit is aborted
  • Malfunctions in control unit, even during programming

→ Ensure that the power supply is not interrupted during programming.

→ Connect a battery charger with a current rating of at least → Nominal value: 40 A  to the vehicle battery.

Information 

Later versions of the software may display slightly different text or require a slightly different procedure. The instructions you receive from the Tester itself take precedence over this description.

  1. PIWIS Tester II 9818  must be connected to the vehicle and ignition switched on.
  2. Select the vehicle type and start the PIDT.
  3. Select the menu PCM/CDR  , Drive links  .
  4. Engage telephone handset in the charging cradle.
  5. Confirm the Teach handset  function by pressing [F12].
  6. Start the activation process by pressing [F8].
  7. Follow the instructions on the Tester. The message Handset has been taught  must appear. Press [F11] to go back.
  8. Exit the menu Teach handset  and PCM  .
  9. Check the function of the handset.
