Removing Control Unit For Parkassist (PDC)

NOTE: Voltage peaks
  • Risk of damage to load or to the control unit

→ Remove the ignition key and switch off load before disconnecting or removing load.

Information 

If the ParkAssist control unit has to be replaced, the values from the control unit should first be read out using the PIWIS Tester 9718  . → Programming Control Unit For Parkassist

  1. Unclip control unit holder from back to front in direction of travel, disengage it and turn the holder 180°.

  2. Pull the two side locking lugs -1-  for the PDC (Parking Distance Control) control unit apart and lift the control unit up out of the holder.

  3. Release electric connectors -a-  and pull them off the PDC control unit.
