Removing The Navigation Unit With Retaining Bracket

If the navigation unit has to be replaced, the coding must be read out prior to removal using the PIWIS tester P 9718  .

If the navigation unit is removed with the retaining bracket, then new clips must be used before reinstallation.

  1. Give the navigation unit with the retaining bracket a pull forward, and lever out the clips with a screwdriver if necessary.

  2. Unlock the electrical plug -1, 2, 3-  on the navigation unit and remove the navigation unit with holder.
