Removing The Navigation Unit (US Version)

NOTE: Voltage peaks
  • Risk of damage to load or to the control unit

→ Remove the ignition key and switch off load before disconnecting or removing load.

Information 

If the navigation unit has to be replaced, the coding must be read out prior to removal using the PIWIS tester P 9718  .

  1. Remove navigation unit.

    1. 1.1. Insert disassembly tool 9570/1 -2-  into the navigation unit -1-  (-arrows A-  ) and lift up the navigation unit -1-  (-arrow B-  ).
    2. 1.2. Release the connector -3 to 5-  on the navigation unit -1-  and pull off -arrow C-  .

      Pull out navigation unit -1-  (-arrow B-  ).

  2. Remove retaining frame for navigation unit.
    1. 2.1. Give the retaining frame -1-  a pull upward, and lever out the clips -2-  with a screwdriver if necessary.
