→ Load the roof transport system or add-on modules in such a way that the load does not project over the sides of the roof area.

→ Select the distances between several add-on modules fitted next to each other so that the transported items cannot bump against each other during the journey.

→ Secure load sufficiently to prevent it from shifting during the journey.

→ Check the roof transport system or add-on modules regularly before each journey and during an extended journey to make sure they are seated correctly and securely on the vehicle.

CAUTION: Driving with a roof load

→ Always get two people to fit and remove the roof box on/from the roof carrier system.

→ Observe total vehicle height when entering car parks, underground car parks, tunnels, etc.

→ Only use soapy water to clean roof box/wheel carrier.

→ When opening the rear lid for the first time, ensure that there is sufficient space between the rear lid and the fitted roof carrier system.

→ Do not drive at more than 140 km/h (88 mph) with luggage loaded.

→ Do not drive at more than 180 km/h (112 mph) with basic carrier fitted without a load.

→ Adapt your driving style to the different vehicle, braking and steering behavior.
