Installing Door Entry Guard

  1. Align the fastening clamps (6 on each side) -2-  on the underside of the vehicle with the door entry guard and press them onto the rim of the door sill -arrows-  .
  2. Press in fixing clips (9 on each side) -1-  until they engage securely -arrow-  .

    Information 

    • When inserting the sill cover, make sure the overlap is correct. 
    • Engage hook on front sill cover with side panel. 
  3. Insert the door entry guard -1-  starting from the rear with the help of another person and press it into the fixing clips -2-  (-arrows-  ).

  4. Use the fastening screws -1-  on the underside of the vehicle to secure the door entry guard in the fastening clamps -arrow-  . → Tightening torque: 2 Nm (1.5 ftlb.)+/-20 %

  5. Tighten fastening screw -1-  . → Tightening torque: 2 Nm (1.5 ftlb.)+/-20 %

  6. Align rear wheel housing liner -2-  (-arrow-  ) and secure in place with the fastening screw -1-  . → Tightening torque: 2 Nm (1.5 ftlb.)+/-20 %

  7. Check gap dimensions of door entry guard and adjust if necessary. → Gap Dimensions Of Door Entry Guard
