Installing Carbon Canister - USA Variant

  1. Insert carbon canister and connect plug-in couplings.

    The plug-in couplings must lock with an audible click.

  2. Fit the carbon canister.
    1. 2.1. C2/USA variant

      1. 2.1.1. Slide the plastic holder on the carbon canister -3-  into the guide and fix it in place at the plenum panel.

        Screw in and tighten two M6 internal Torx screws -2-  .

        → Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.) 

      2. 2.1.2. Unclip cable plug on the carbon canister -1-  and then disconnect it.
    2. 2.2. C4/USA variant

      1. 2.2.1. Insert plastic holder -2-  into the latch and lever it into the guide using an assembly wedge.
      2. 2.2.2. Connect cable plug -3-  .
      3. 2.2.3. Screw in and tighten internal Torx tapping screw -2-  on the carbon canister -1-  .
