Removing Filler Neck

- Danger of fire or explosion
→ Avoid contact with hot parts or sources of ignition.
→ Use suction to remove ignitable vapors.
→ Attach warning sign in a clearly visible position.
- Place a warning sign in a clearly visible position in the work area or on the vehicle.
- Remove the tank tray.
- 2.1. Open the tank cap.
- 2.2. Pull off the ground strap -1- .
- 2.3. Unclip overflow hose on tank tray -3- and set it aside.
- 2.4. Unclip the locking lugs on the tank tray and pull out the tank tray.
- Remove the holder.
- 3.1. Loosen internal Torx screw (T30) M6 x 20 -4- for the body (in the wheel arch).
- 3.2. Unscrew two hexagon-head bolts (M6 x 20) -5- on the filler neck holder.
- Remove filler neck.
- 4.1. Loosen and remove the cap.
- 4.2. Mask the assembly opening around the tank cap with adhesive tape -1- to prevent damage to the paintwork and body.
- 4.3. Turn the filler neck -2- at the top and bottom alternately and carefully pull it out underneath the edge of the wing.
- 4.4. Replace seal on the filler neck.
