Removing Cylinder Head Cover

NOTE: Dirt and contamination
  • Risk of damage to units or components

โ†’ Protect components from dirt and contamination.

โ†’ Clean or replace dirty components.

  1. Unscrew 20 inner Torx (T30) countersunk screws (M6 x 25) in each case and remove cover.

  2. Remove molded seal and clean it carefully using a clean, lint-free cloth.
  3. Clean sealing faces on the cylinder head and cover. To do this, soak a clean, lint-free cloth in acetone or solvent naphtha and wipe off the surfaces.
    1. 3.1. Allow components to dry off sufficiently.
