Installing Cylinder Head

CAUTION:
Ingress of dirt
- Danger of material damage due to blocked oil bores/oil ducts.
→ Absolute cleanliness is essential when working on the engine.
→ Lay removed engine parts on a clean base and make sure to cover them.
→ Use the cover for dust protection when fitting the engine NR.165 on the engine assembly support.
- Replace cylinder head gasket. The TOP marking must point to the observer.
- Coat threaded bolt lightly with fresh engine oil.
- Uniformly push the cylinder head over the studs from above. Make sure that the sealing face is not damaged.
- Oil the sealing surface of the multiple-tooth nuts lightly with fresh engine oil.
- 4.1. Screw on twelve M12 multiple-tooth nuts with washers by hand.
- Tighten multiple-tooth nuts on the cylinder head according to the specified tightening torque (see table below) and sequence → Tightening sequence for cylinder head nuts .
