Removing Hydraulic Valve For Camshaft Control

→ Absolute cleanliness is essential when working on hydraulic valves.
Information
- Handle the hydraulic valve with care; do not turn it at the valve tip or at the safety contact.
- A seal against leaks cannot be ensured if there is damage in the area of the retainer plate, therefore handle the pliers indicated with care.
- Remove hydraulic valve -1-
.
- 1.1. Pull off cable plug -2- .
- 1.2. Unscrew two external Torx screws (E10, M6 x 20) -3- . Remove retainer plate.
- 1.3. Pull valve out of the cylinder head. Stick fabric tape on the valve body if necessary and remove using Relay Puller 9235 .
- 1.4. Replace O-ring.
- Remove solenoid hydraulic valve on intake side 4-6 in the same way as for side 1-3.
- Solenoid hydraulic valve on side 4-6
- Cable plug with connecting line
- External Torx screws (M6 x 20)
- Check the valve body for damage in the sealing area.
- 3.1. Replace the valve if necessary.
