WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 9 other vehicles, including the 2013 Porsche 911, 2012 Porsche 911, 2011 Porsche 911, 2010 Porsche 911, and 2009 Porsche 911. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Check the fluid level (Pentosin) with the engine switched off and cold (approx. 20 °C).

  1. Start the engine and let it run at idle speed for approx. 20 seconds. Stop the engine.
  2. Open engine cover. Open reservoir cap.

  3. Wipe off dipstick. Close and then re-open cap. The fluid level should be between the MIN and MAX markings.

Top up with Pentosin if necessary.

    • Do not add too much Pentosin!
    • If assembly work was performed previously, check the fluid level with the engine idling and without operating the steering.
    • Multiple steering movements (maneuvering) with the engine switched off change the fluid level in the reservoir - fluid level rises. In this case, the engine must be left running for at least 20 seconds immediately before checking the fluid level.
    • When topping up or filling in Pentosin, make sure that it does not come into contact with the coolant hoses.
  4. Close the cap carefully.
