Removing Steel Pulley

NOTE:
Incorrect handling of tools
- Risk of damage to the body
→ Only use tools approved by Porsche.
→ Always ensure that the tool is seated correctly.
→ Protect the body and interior of the vehicle from damage with protective covers.
→ Cover delicate components with cardboard or sheetmetal panels.
- Remove steel crankshaft pulley.
- 1.1. Loosen and unscrew M14 hexagon-head bolt. Counter with a holding wrench 9548
.
Get another person to help you do this because of the high loosening forces required.
- 1.2. Loosen pulley -1- from the crankshaft flange and remove it.
- 1.3. Replace bolt and friction plate.
- 1.1. Loosen and unscrew M14 hexagon-head bolt. Counter with a holding wrench 9548
.
- Check crankshaft flange, dowel pin and fitting bore for damage.
- 2.1. Clean and remove all grease from the crankshaft flange.
