Installing Vibration Damper

Information 

  1. Position vibration damper on the crankshaft flange. Check the position of the dowel pin.
  2. Fit six new external Torx screws (M8 x 1 x 25) and tighten uniformly in diagonally opposite sequence.
  3. Fit drive belt.

    → 137819 REMOVING AND INSTALLING DRIVE BELT .

  4. Fix vibration damper -1-  in place with one of the locating pins 9595/1 -4-  .
    1. 4.1. Pre-tighten screws uniformly in diagonally opposite sequence according to tightening specifications.

      → Initial tightening: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.) 

    2. 4.2. Final tightening using special tool electronic torque wrench, 2-100 Nm/1.5-74 ftlb.) 9768  .

      → Torque angle: 90°+/-5°
