Installing Secondary-Air Pump

  1. Apply a light coating of "Kluber Syntheso Glep" grease (Porsche Part No. 000.043.204.68) on the rubber mountings for the secondary-air pump.
    1. 1.1. To make it easier to fit the fastening screws, grease one side of the washers for the fastening screws lightly and slide the greased side onto the screw.
  2. Guide the secondary-air pump into the engine compartment and push it onto the studs.

    Position the cable plug and check that the electric line is not trapped under the secondary-air pump! 

  3. Fit and tighten two external Torx screws (E10, M6 x 12) -1-  on the holder.

    → Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ft. lb.)

  4. Connect cable plug and clip it in at the holder.

  5. Connect the fuel line -1-  and vacuum line -2-  in the engine compartment and clip them into the line bracket.
