Removing Secondary-Air Pump

  1. Pull off secondary air line -1-  . Open the spring band clamp and pull off the hose.

    1. 1.1. Disconnect cable plug -1-  .

  2. Remove holder on intake-air distributor 1-3.

    We recommend that you use a 1/4-inch socket-wrench insert with a magnet (Torx E10) to do this.

    1. 2.1. Unscrew top M6 screw on the holder (using a 1/4-inch socket-wrench insert with a magnet (Torx E10) and a long extension -1-  ).

    2. 2.2. Unscrew bottom M6 screw -1-  on the holder (using tool -2-  as in Step  2.1).

  3. Take secondary-air pump and bracket out of the engine compartment.
  4. Remove secondary-air pump from bracket.
    1. 4.1. Unscrew three internal Torx screws (M6 x 50) -1-  and take pump out of the bracket.
